Technical depth. Close to the business.
Daniel Carrillo is CTO of Niche Intelligence. His work connects data engineering, statistical modeling and software development to the decisions a business needs to make.
He builds forecasting and allocation models, automated data pipelines, and the tools that make complex analysis usable. That includes translating business rules into code, reconciling conflicting source data, and documenting where a model’s assumptions and limits matter.
Daniel works directly with client teams on technical design and implementation. His approach combines hands-on engineering with supervised AI development, careful validation, and a clear path for the team to operate what has been built.
Areas of expertise
How I work
Understand the decision
Start with the business question, the source data, and the constraints the system has to respect.
Make the reasoning visible
Document assumptions, test the important behavior, and surface exceptions alongside results.
Build for the next person
Keep code, documentation, and operating procedures clear enough for the team that inherits them.
The firm
Specific problems. Considered solutions.
We work closely with clients to understand their data, make technical trade-offs explicit, and build systems they can operate.
Mission
Build useful systems from complex data, clear reasoning, and sound engineering.
Focus
Statistical models, data workflows, and custom software that support real business decisions.
Why “Niche”
Because the highest-value problems are rarely generic. We go deep on the specific constraints, data and decisions that make your business different.
